Course Description
This course is designed to teach the student how to fly a quadcopter (or any other multirotor drone). Everyone goes through different struggles when piloting a quadcopter for the first time. Multirotor flying definitely has a learning curve.
So, if you’re having trouble flying your quad, you’re just getting started, or you’re looking to hone your skills — don’t worry.
You’re in the right place.
Teaching Methods
Class Policy: Students will be expected to be on time to class and back from breaks. Only 6 tardies will be allowed out of the 8-week program. This will be broken in two parts; class arrivals are the first part and arriving back from breaks is the second part. Each student gets 3 excused absences. Each is up to the student to catch up on any missing work. Instructors are not obligated to help the student catch up but will assist the student on what class materials they need to catch up on, i.e., missed test, quizzes and handouts. Attendance is significant in this program since each class represents a vital portion of the total course. An excused absence must be given 4 hours before class begins. Three unexcused absences combined with tardies with subsequently cause the student to be expelled from the program and all material and equipment will be retained by the Academy.
